Printable 2013 Meeting Calendar with other useful information (2 pages - Revised March 2013)

Our monthly meetings are usually held on first Wednesdays and locations alternate between Santa Cruz and Monterey County. See the CALENDAR for this month's location.

The Delegates' Assembly is open to all Friends of Labor. New Delegates named by Affiliated Locals are sworn in at the beginning of each meeting.

Before each general Delegates’ Assembly (6:30pm – 8:30pm), we hold a Political Planning meeting (5:30pm), which is open to Delegates, Delegates yet to be sworn in, staff and members of Affiliated Locals, and invited guests.

The Political Planning meetings offer an on-going opportunity for those who want to go in-depth on political matters and participate more directly in the political development/decision-making process at the Labor Council. This body also contributes input and recommendations to the Committee on Political Education (COPE). COPE convenes when the Exec Board meets each 4th Monday at 6:30pm at PVFT in Watsonville.

Prior to certain Elections (as determined by COPE), candidate questionnaires are prepared and interview forums are held throughout the region as part of our political endorsement process. Time/Date/Location are set by COPE - working with the Delegates. Affiliated Locals are encouraged to alert all Labor-Friendly candidates to fully particiapte in this process.

Questions about the meeting or agenda may be directed to 831-422-4626 x11 or laborcouncil@mbclc.org.
